Dr. Soane is a serial entrepreneur and innovator in the field of polymer science and nanotechnology. A prolific researcher with hundreds of published articles as well as more than 100 patents, he served as a tenured Professor of Chemical Engineering at UC Berkeley for 15 years, prior to founding several advanced materials companies focused on direct market applications, including: ACLARA, a maker of reagents for genomic, proteomic, and diagnostic applications; Nano-Tex, textile materials with unique performance characteristics; 2C Optics, a just-in-time manufacturer of polymeric eyeglass lenses; ZMS, a developer of the next generation of contact lenses; and ICBM or Innovative Construction and Building Materials, developer of light weight high strength wallboards. With Crop Enhancement, NanoPaper, ReForm Biologics and Transform Materials, spin-offs from Soane Labs he continues to innovate across a variety of industries. Dr. Soane received his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from UC Berkeley.

Before joining Soane Labs, Ms. Dolman was a partner at Goodwin, a top ranked global law firm, where she advised companies and investors in a wide variety of strategic transactions and corporate operations and co-chaired Goodwin’s Fintech group. While at Goodwin,
Ms. Dolman brings almost 20 years of experience as a trusted legal advisor. Before joining Soane Labs, Ms. Dolman was a partner at Goodwin, a top ranked global law firm, where she advised companies and investors in a wide variety of strategic transactions and corporate operations and co-chaired Goodwin’s Fintech group. While at Goodwin, Ms. Dolman served as Soane Labs’ primary external legal counsel. Ms. Dolman was named a “Top Woman in the Law” and a “Super Lawyers Rising Star. She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A. from the University of Western Ontario, with a semester at the Universiteit Maastricht.
